All of these listings are meant to inspire and motivate your personal vision of the spiritual place. I believe these places merge the physical world with the emotional and intellectual planes. They are designed to be visited and experienced. After some passage of time that I imagine not even the artists themselves would be able to predict; the synthesis of the planes of existence creates a spiritual vibration that draws us to them.
Sun Tunnels 1973-1976
Artist: Nancy Holt, Location: Great Basin Desert, Utah, USA. Termed land art or environmental art, the Sun Tunnels are astronomically aligned with the compass directional points. The work is now associated with the Holt Smithson Foundation and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.

Designed by E. Fay Jones, Location: Eureka Springs, Arkansas, USA. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Carroll County, Arkansas. Built in 1980 of local Southern Pine and Flagstone carried by hand to preserve the sites natural surroundings.
Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban
National Parliament House, Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh, Architect Louis Khan. Construction started in 1961 and opened in 1982. The Bangladesh Liberation War halted the construction for a short time in the early 1970’s. The site includes government buildings and housing for members of parliament. The monumental work captures the spirit of Bangladesh.
The National Library of Kosovo
Opened in 1982 and designed by Croatian architect Andrija Mutnjaković, the Library consists of over 90 different sized domes with a metal exterior screen al la Brise soleil that is a grand experiment in light while attempting to provide less ice and snow build up in a cold Winter environment. The books have a very beautiful home with magnificent protections from the elements mixing the manufactured biomorphic shapes with the park like surroundings.
